Vaďura, Petr

Petr Vaďura (born in 1953) comes from Prague and since 1979 has lived and worked mainly in France. In 2003 he expanded his reach into his native Czech Republic. Now he works in Prague, Amsterdam, as well as in Paris.

Since the late 1980's he has focused mainly on illustrations, posters, textile design for French companies in his studio in Paris. Since 1997, Petr Vaďura has focused mainly on objects. His porcelain vase Buddha, designed for the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, is sold throughout the world. Petr Vaďura works for many prestigious clients, such as Saint-Louis, Christofle, and Moser.
In 2003 he began designing his own collections under the brand petr vadura. His modern yet timeless design uses an original way of traditional methods and techniques of glass blowing and creates modern shapes with new optical effects.
