Since last year he leads the Glass Studio at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague and became a chief designer of the German company Sahm. He received many awards for his work, for example the German Red Dot Design Award for his glass Cleveland. The qualities of his work are proved by inclusion of his vase Quadra Pura among one hundred best designs of the 20th century. His work is represented in many private and public collections at home and abroad.

Plesl, Rony
Rony Plesl is currently one of the most successful and best known Czech glass artists and designers. He deals with a free art, interior design, designs for small and mass production, and creates limited collections under his own brand. He collaborates with a number of glass factories and major glass manufacturers in the Czech Republic and abroad (e.g. with Barovier & Toso in Murano, Italy, or with Pasabahce Concern in Denizli, Turkey).
